Thank You Ian, I appreciate your comment.
There is one Mk6 around, possibly two, that have been restored but I have not seen the one I saw for some time. I think it may be up North with Steve Shirley's collection?
The one I saw was at the RAF Firefighters museum at Halfpenny Green airfield but that sadly closed a few years back. The collection was moved and I think some or maybe all went to storage with Steve's collection??

Walt, Many thanks for your efforts with thge site, I'm only a Fireman's Son but the sight of the Alvis MK6 brings back good memories of my father at RAF Pershore. He was MOD Fireman. Been scanning the sight for a "live" MK6, is there one out there? Would love to see a "live" one.
Regards
Brilliant Site.

What a valuable and excellent site. I served as an Aircraft Handler firefighter for 31 years in the Fleet Air Arm. My happiest days were at the Royal Naval Air Station Lossiemouth between 1967 and 72 and the photo's of Mk 7s etc. rekindle very happy memories. Very many thanks guys.

As a 'classic' Range-Rover owner (now on my 4th.) I would love to own a TACR2a despite not having served with any fire/rescue service. Whether this ambition becomes a reality remains to be seen but in the meantime your exellent site allows me to drole!
Reply Very nice site!
