Can anyone recommend any insurance companies they've had pleasent experiences with when insuring their TACR2s? This year was Footman James (covering it as a non operational fire engine, limited mileage...) however renewal time is drawing near so I'd like to see if we can get a better deal. Thanks!

Hello I am with Premium Choice as recommended by a friend, they do military vehicle cover and as such I was re-assured by their breakdown cover (i.e they had no misgivings about recovery - a TACR is easy compared to a tank!). I found they cover reasonable. That said I have had a couple of recommendations for NFU and it has been suggested (by someone in the know) that they may be the cheapest around. I wonder if an approach was made to one of these to provide club insurance we could reap benefits? Good luck John

Last time I talked to NFU about insuring mine was some years ago now, but at the time they'd only insure it if I switched all my insurance to them, house contents, building, life, and all vehicles I owned. May not be the case now. Could also try Adrian flux.
