firstly sorry folks if this is the wrong place.

i am the chairman of YORKSHIRE AND LINCOLNSHIRE SEARCH AND RESCUE . we are a lowland search and rescue team that are members of ALSAR and specialise in searches of urban ans rural areas including the searching of , on or near water.

we will also go out in times on flood to help rescue victims stranded by flood water such as cockermouth in cumbria where a few of us went.

i am posting this request because we desperatly need to aquire a serviceable inflatable boat and engine, life vests, throw lines etc etc.

i am hoping that somebody on here will know of somebody that either has some that they nologer need who would like to donate them, somebody who has a boat kicking around and nolonger uses and would like to long term loan it until we can raise the funds to buy it or replace it.

you know the general picture, we are on the scrounge, being a charity and 100% self funded re rely heavily on peoples donations to survive and be able to perform.

if you have anything for us or any info please get intouch or infact anything that you feel a search and rescue team can make use of such things like rescue stretchers, ropes etc etc

I have a rescue stretcher that you may be able to use.  Its not a paraguard, Ill email you a picture. 

Its a joint owned thing currently so ill ask the other owner..

ideally floating lines , but we also would make use of any other good quality rope as we have a cliff top rescue team withing our group, work is mainly in quarries and steep slopes etc.

rescue stretcher sounds great, please let us know what the outcome is.

no not had it, the yalsar web site is under construction by an outside agency , so sometimes it goes off line and we dont get the reminders sent to our personal inbox.

Have you approaced the Lottery Fund for a grant? A group I work with has just been awarded 10k for medical equipment.

yes we are in the process of trying to n avigate the lottery minefield. thing is we need some of this kit sooner rather than later
